
Dr. Moritz Bassemir
Managing Director, Valuation Advisory
Moritz is a Managing Director with Kroll Valuation Advisory Services in Frankfurt. He brings more than 12 years of experience in valuation and transactions.
Moritz has extensive experience across business valuations including M&A transactions, fairness opinions, carve-outs, squeeze-outs, arbitration cases, internal restructurings, purchase price allocations, intangible asset valuations, goodwill impairment tests, and employee stock options. He has worked with clients on national and international mergers, handling business valuations and purchase price allocations and has experience in regulated valuations for tax and financial reporting purposes.
He is a guest lecturer at leading German and European universities and a frequent speaker at industry conferences. He regularly publishes on current topics in accounting and valuation in leading national and international journals. Moritz also serves as a reviewer for leading academic journals.
Moritz is a member of the Deutsche Institution für Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit e.V. (DIS) as well as Internationaler Controller Verein (ICV). Further, he served as a member of the FAUB-Working Group „Basiszins“ of the German Institute of Auditors (IDW).
Prior to joining Kroll, he worked as a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal. Previously, he worked with Deloitte in Valuation & Modelling in the Frankfurt office.
Moritz earned a diploma in business administration at the Goethe University of Frankfurt and University of Warwick (UK) and a doctorate degree (Dr. rer. pol.) in business administration from the Goethe University of Frankfurt.
