Anamaria Ciobanu is Associate Partner and Head of Valuation & Business Modelling Services Department, Deal Advisory, KPMG in Romania and Finance Professor at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE).

She has been a Recognized European Valuer (REV), a designation awarded by TEGoVA (The European Group of Valuers) – since 2012 and Accredited member of National Association of Romanian Licensed Valuers and valuation reviewer for business valuation and financial instruments.

Between 2012 and 2015, she served as Vice-President of ANEVAR, while also holding the roles of Chairperson of both the International Relations Commission and the Scientific and Valuation Standards Commission (2014–2015). In addition, she was Editor-in-Chief of ANEVAR’s Valuation Journal from 2009 to 2017.

Before joining KPMG, Anamaria built an academic career in Finance starting 1998 up to the present-day as a finance professor in ASE.

Anamaria joined KPMG in 2014 and is the coordinator of the Valuation practice in KPMG Romania starting 2021. She has relevant experience in the field of business valuation and PPA (Purchase Price Allocation), intangibles valuation, financial instruments valuation, corporate finance, financial feasibility studies, capital markets. She also has extensive experience in financial modeling and project management.
